Pregnancy Yoga & Hypnobirthing

Pregnancy yoga creates a space in which you can slow down and connect with yourself and your baby. It's time to relax and unwind as well as reflect. At the same time the classes create a safe space to meet other pregnant women, share experiences and develop a feeling of belonging.

Women who practice pregnancy yoga report feeling energised, relaxed, less anxious and sleeping better. Many indicate that it helps with common pregnancy discomforts like pelvic girdle pain, lower back pain or sciatic pain.

Pregnancy yoga is a journey that empowers you to have a positive pregnancy and leads you to a positive birthing experience. The sessions at Nest of Nourishment teach yoga posture combined with an active birth approach. You become familiar with breathing and relaxation techniques that assist childbirth. You develop confidence in trusting your body and your instincts. You feel empowered to fully embrace the birthing experience. You know how to let go of your thinking mind and let go of anxieties.

You can join at any time, even if you haven’t done yoga before. Anyone can do it, whatever your previous experience. Lots of women start yoga in their pregnancy as the practice is gentle and accessible to all.

What to expect from the classes?

The studio opens 15 minutes before the start of the class. You are welcome to arrive during this time to settle and enjoy a cup of tea. Each session starts with a short chat, during which we share experiences of the past week. Next is the movement practice. Be prepared to go slow, connect with your body and breath. Sessions end with a substantial relaxation/restorative yoga practice.
